The CH-47 Engine Torquemeter Test Set, used with the UxValidator™ Series II, presents complete torquemeter-system condition for both T55 engines on all CH-47 Chinook models. The ETTS drives stimulus into the torquemeter signal path and the UxValidator presents the response at its source: clean signal in, clean indication out, decisions made from what the aircraft actually shows.
This configuration operates in conjunction with the UxValidator Series II platform and is not a standalone solution.
Both engine torquemeter systems test simultaneously. When the indication shows a torque split, the ETTS diagnoses which engine is the cause and supports J-Box adjustment at the aircraft, without removing components and without an engine swap-and-test. Voltage Ratio and Vo Cal calculations run automatically; the UxValidator returns a pass / fail indication when the system is in tolerance. Complete aircraft test time for both engines runs under 30 minutes, with no warm-up required.
